Claude Code 2.1.293 switches its default Haiku to 5.5 If your sessions call Haiku through the Anthropic API, they now get Haiku 5.5 with a 1M context window. The main changes: • Claude Haiku 5.5 claude-haiku-5-5 is the default Haiku on the Anthropic API, at $0.10/$0.50 per Mtok, or $0.50/$2.50 for prompts over 100K. • Claude sometimes misread its own last actions from before a context compaction and then retracted or redid finished work. That's fixed. • Mods get isDeferred in $.tool.register. Set it to false and the tool's schema sits in the prompt from the start instead of behind tool search. • The subagentStatusLine payload now carries agentType, so scripts can tell custom subagent types apart. One fix got rolled back: 2.1.290's repair for cloud sessions that lost a pending /loop wakeup in a container restart is gone, and those sessions stay asleep again.
